February 27 Edition of Being Thankful

Today, I am thankful...

for a nice relaxing weekend with Ryan. On Saturday, he was home and didn't have any projects to work on for the first time in what seems like forever. So, we did nothing! Well, we went out to dinner, but other than that we just stayed home and hung out. I think it was really good for him, as all of the busy-ness at work and the projects at home like the baby's room seem to have him pretty worn out. I'm glad that he was able to just relax. If only the weekend was longer...I think he could have used a few more days.

for good conversation. In this case, with my wonderful hubby. So good to talk through things and help sort them out in my head and to understand each other a little more.

February 24 Edition of Being Thankful

Today, I am thankful...

that my mom came out for a few days to hang out with me while Ryan was in Denver. Thanks Mom!

that Ryan actually came home a day early from Denver and got in late last night. I love seeing, hugging and kissing my hubby when he gets home!

for the nice FedEx delivery guy yesterday who delivered our crib. The box weighs 71 lbs and technically he isn't allowed to come into the house. Seeing that I am pregnant he took a step into the house to get it all the way in the door so that I didn't have to try to push it the rest of the way.

for another good dr. appointment on Wednesday. Baby girl is head down and I'm slightly dilated (1 cm). Getting closer!

February 21 Edition of Being Thankful

Today, I'm thankful...

for my beautiful friend Dana. She is a geat encouragement to me so often with her realness, both in happy circumstances and hard circumstances. Thank you, Dana!

that Ryan made it to Denver safely yesterday despite some "fun" travelling circumstances.

that I've been doing baby laundry! All those fun little clothes are all ready for baby girl to make her appearance. :)

February 18 (Catch Up) Edition of Being Thankful

It's been over a week since I've posted, so I'll just have to catch up today with all the things this past week has brought me to be thankful for.

Today, I am thankful...

for baby shower #1 last week on Friday here in Roosevelt. My sisters-in-law and mother-in-law threw a fun shower and it was fun to hear everyone's birthing stories. :) That is the time to tell all the good and the horror stories, right? Just when someone else is about to have a baby. Ha ha.

for baby shower #2 last Saturday in Salt Lake. My mom did a wonderful job throwing the shower and it was so much fun to catch up with a bunch of people that I rarely get to see and whom I miss so much! And Dana made the yummiest cake!

for an extra day in Salt Lake. The weather was a little iffy to drive back home on Sunday and while I was bummed at first that I wasn't going to get to come home to Ryan, it really was nice to spend that day with my mom and dad. Plus, I got a few errands done that I wouldn't have been able to otherwise (such as get the flooring for the baby's room so Ryan could install it this week).

for a fun day yesterday in Park City. We drove out for Ryan's oral surgery consultation (2 dental implants that he needs) and then had a yummy lunch and did a little shopping. I definitely appreciate the opportunity to eat at a fun, different restaurant these days now that I don't get that opportunity very often here in Roosevelt. It's always the same couple to choose from. Ha ha. That's about the same for the shopping. Although, I don't have much energy to do that much shopping, so I really just wanted to go to the Old Navy Outlet to look at baby clothes. We really don't need any more 0-3 months clothing as we got a lot of cute stuff at the showers and a ton of hand-me-downs. But, I had to choose baby girl's "coming home from the hospital" outfit. Turned out that the ON outlet had everything 40% off! So, we got her outfit. Yeah!

that the baby's room is so close to being done. Ryan has spent so much time on it and it looks great! He is just finishing up the trim then we can move the dresser into it. So, now I can order the crib so it will arive this week and Ryan can put it together when he gets back from Denver on Friday. Woohoo! And then I can wash everything and put in there and just wait for baby girl to make her appearance. :)

So much to be thankful for! I'm one blessed girl!

February 10 Edition of Being Thankful

Today, I am thankful...

for the warm sunshine to go out and play catch with the dogs in the backyard.

that we get to celebrate our baby girl with two baby showers this weekend, one tonight and one tomorrow.

that by having these baby showers, I get to see family and friends, a lot of which I don't get to see very often.

for a productive day. I actually got a few things accomplished today. Ha ha.

for (I know this may sound redundant, but I'm saying it anyway) feeling my baby moving in my belly. So amazing!

February 7 Edition of Being Thankful

I'm playing catch up for missing the past few days. It's not that I haven't been thankful for anything, rather just didn't take the time to post. :)

Today, I am thankful...

that last Thursday was my last day of work in the outside world for a while. And thankful for a husband supportive of me staying at home to raise our baby and that he was the one who convinced me to quit earlier than I was thinking. :)

for a visit from my parents over the weekend. Always good to see them!

for another good doctor appointment yesterday.Everything is going wonderfully!

for Ryan who puts up with me when I'm having a "crazy" day. ;)

for time this morning to listen to some worship music and sing along. I love praising Jesus through singing!

February 1 Edition of Being Thankful

Today, I am thankful...

for a fun date with my hubby last night. :) Went to dinner at Marions and to see "We Bought A Zoo." As we were eating dinner at Marions I thought about how this was the first place Ryan had taken me to eat on my first trip to Roosevelt. Just so happens that it was on January 31st, 2009 that we went there! What fun to be there exactly 3 years later without even planning it. :)
