2014: page one hundred twenty-seven

Who needs one of those road map rugs or a car track when you have masking tape? :)

And, we have one yellow wall! Hard to tell in this picture, but it's a very pale, creamy yellow color and I love it!

More weed pulling, painting, and playing outside!

The lilacs have bloomed and look and smell amazing! B enjoyed smelling and picking them.

Look momma, I got some!

So pretty.

Since I picked some to put in vases in the house to bring the amazing smell inside, she wanted to put hers in water, too. :)

A vase of pretty little purple flowers. It's the little things in life, really. :)

I'm feeling so productive as of late. :)

I've been pulling weeds in the mornings and then playing outside with B. In the afternoons, I've been priming/painting our entryway while B naps. A prettier yard and a freshly painted entryway are so much fun, although both are still very much in progress. :)

Those darn vaulted ceilings make for some challenging painting, although I do like the openness of them, so I guess I just need to find a taller ladder.

Admittedly, the housework has suffered, but oh well. THAT will ALWAYS be there. Ha ha ha!

These aren't the greatest pictures, but here is the before and the during.

The accent wall (only this wall will be this bright of yellow). Bye bye tan walls, hello color!

A lazy, stay-at-home-and-do-nothing Sunday at our house.

Ryan went to bed last night around 8:30 not feeling well and woke up this morning not feeling any better. I didn't sleep that well, so we all just stayed home to rest and relax.

Wedding Day!

April and Allan's wedding was today. Turned out to be a beautiful day for an outdoor wedding. Actually, it felt HOT.

I didn't get any pictures of the ceremony since I was chasing B around. Such a bummer. However, I did get a few cute ones of B (of course). :)

My dadda and I went on a lunch date today! He is a wonderful dad and I love spending time with him!

Shortly after lunch, my mom and dad headed back home. Again, I'm so thankful that were able to come spend a few days with us.

While yesterday was just a hang out day, I made up for it a little bit today by actually getting a few things accomplished. It feels so good to get something done. Well, at least started. :)

Prepping the entryway, then priming (part) of the entryway, and pulling weeds are all tasks that have been on my list for a while now, so it was great to work on those things.

And to end this beautiful day, Ryan got home from Texas! Wahoo!

2014: page one hundred twenty-one

Oh, I had so many plans for while my mom and dad were here and could help watch B. So many things that I was going to get accomplished:
  • Painting the entryway
  • Painting some of the trim in B's room
  • Pulling weeds in the front yard
  • Moving dirt
  • Buying some bushes
  • Etc. etc. etc.
And, you know what, I didn't even start on any of them today, which is the one full day they are going to be here.

The truth is I just wanted to hang out with them and relax. To talk with them about some big life decisions. To enjoy their company.

So, that is what I chose to do.

My mom and I went to the local fabric shop and picked up lunch for all of us on the way home. Grandpa and B went for a walk and played outside.

All in all a pretty great day if you ask me!

Yeah, Grandpa and Grandma are here!!! And they are staying until Ryan gets back! Wahoo!

It's SO nice to have the help while Ryan is gone and to get little breaks here and there during the day.

Love my momma and dadda!
Fall 2009. Goofy kids. :)

Had the pleasure of having Ryan home until late morning. Well, and then he took off for the airport to go schmooze with the bosses in Texas for the rest of the week. :)

B and I headed to lunch with Randi and then played outside once we got home. Thankful for sunshine even if it was a bit windy and chilly at times.

Funny story of the day:

B is still learning to go on the potty. We have #1 down pretty well and #2 is getting there slowly. Well, it was almost bedtime and she said she needed to go potty. She sat on her potty and started pushing and talking about having to poop, then got frustrated when it wasn't happening. So, I told her if she didn't have to go that's ok.

She got up and played for a minute. Then sat back down. After doing this a couple of times, she jumped up from the potty and exclaimed, "I did it! I poop!" About 2 seconds later as I was on my way over to help her, she is looking in her potty and says, "Looks like a turtle!"

Ha ha ha ha! I about died laughing! Too funny! And really, it kind of did look like a turtle. :) I almost took a picture to share, but then I really thought about it and that might be pushing social media a bit far... You're welcome.

Funny picture of the day:

This is where she wanted to nap.... but no she is not really napping here, just pretending.

The beginning of a new week. Happy Monday!

Two of B's cousins came over to play for a few hours today, much to her delight. :)

Ryan ended up wanting to go out to dinner tonight, which is alright with me. Ha! Bring on some Mexican food. Yum!
